Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger supports the GMA 950, since it was used in previous revisions of the MacBook, Mac mini, and 17-inch iMac. It had been used in all Intel-based Mac minis until the Mac mini released on March 3, 2009). Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard contains drivers for the GMA X3100, which were used in a recent revision of the MacBook range. Sahib Singh 7, views 5: X3100 best Intel laptop drivers for gaming! Intel Gma 3100 Benchmark
I recently made the switch from Windows to Mac, and I still have lots of PC games left over. I'm hoping I can play them on my Mac.
I made a slipstreamed version of Windows XP with SP3, and I want to install it using Boot Camp, but first I would like to know whether I will be able to play my old games.
It's not like I'm trying to play Crysis: just Civ IV, Star Wars KOTOR, Heroes V, some of the classics (that hopefully don't require major graphics).
I've read system requirements on them, but they never list my Intel GMA X3100 video card (I'm on a Macbook). What should I be looking for as far as equivalents to other video cards, and will I even be able to play my games?
Thanks! (and if it helps, I'm considering upgrading my machine to 4 GB RAM)
